NBTE – IMAFLORA Social Project
The IMAFLORA Social Project, in partnership with Origens Brasil, was developed to expand the presence of the Origens Brasil network in the Amazon region, promoting sustainable practices, environmental conservation, and the strengthening of local communities. The initiative was supported by Evoltz and other strategic partners, directly benefiting producing communities, local organizations, and companies committed to sustainability.
Key Objectives of the Project
Expand the Origens Brasil network to the Tupi-Guaporé territory (MT and RO).
Increase the number of producers and participating companies to generate new sustainable businesses.
Conduct training and capacity-building for local communities and organizations to operate within the Origens Brasil model.
Encourage responsible consumption through campaigns and engagement with companies and consumers.
Provide technological infrastructure, such as tablets and GPS, for field data collection.
Promote mapping and value recognition of biodiversity products, amplifying benefits for the involved communities.
Results Achieved
Execution Period: 2020 to 2022

Expansion of the Origens Brasil network to 5 territories.

Inclusion of 60 new community organizations.

Registration of 3,348 producers directly benefiting from the initiative.

Increase in participating companies from 15 to 35 network members.

Transactions totaling R$15.8 million in sustainable products, surpassing the initial target of R$12 million.

- A major network gathering with over 170 participants to stimulate and expand sustainable business opportunities.
- Media communication campaigns emphasizing the slogan "Standing Forest is the Best Business."
Support for Community Organizations:
- Direct benefits to 7 community organizations in Pará, Amazonas, Roraima, and Mato Grosso states, including the construction and renovation of 27 facilities, such as warehouses, rubber houses, and mini processing plants.
Success Stories:
- Rubber in Tupi-Guaporé: Production and commercialization of latex for the company Vert, adding value to the product and income to the region.
- Yanomami Mushroom: Launch of a product in partnership with Mãe Terra, promoting income generation and visibility for the Yanomami people.
Positive Impact
The project reaffirmed Evoltz’s commitment to sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and the economic empowerment of local communities. This initiative generated new business opportunities, promoted environmental conservation, and heightened awareness of the value of maintaining a standing forest.
